Nepal was the capital for weed in late 70’s. Cannabis was
legal up until the 1970’s.There were legit hashish shops everywhere, mostly in
Kathmandu.In 1973 Ganja was officially forbidden after receiving direct
commands from the U.S. government.After getting mandates, authorities began
cracking down on distributors, growers and shops which caused 70% loss in Kathmandu’s business.Kathmandu was the dream travel for Hippies.Nepal was also listed in the 1st position for Hippies travel destination.

religious values. Dreadlocked sadhus used
cannabis to gain spiritual liveliness.Even if sadhus were not the concern of
